Spectacle Blind

At our Settimo Milanese site, we manufacture and offer the Spectacle Blind: a figure-of-eight disc. This is an innovative system consisting of a disc and a metal ring joined by a handle, usually welded.


Depending on the type of flange, they can have a different type of coupling (Raised Face, Flat Face, Ring Joint).


The figure-of-eight disc has two functions:


  • if inserted on the ring side, it allows fluid to pass through;
  • if inserted on the disc side, it blocks the passage of fluid; this usually occurs during maintenance on the line and is considered the safest way to isolate a certain section of line.


The figure-of-eight disc is sandwiched between two flanges, and metal gaskets, one on each side, are used to ensure an optimal seal. Contact our expert team for more details about this product.
